Textbook Chapter: Milestones in Actor Training
Each book in Routledge’s Milestones series maps out ten key moments in the development of its subject. The Milestones books are intended for use by students, either as a primer for a degree or specific course of study, or in the classroom as a textbook. The ten key moments – each
the subject of a separate chapter – make the book ideal for weekly class reading and also for easily digestible reading as part of individual study.

New York Weekly:
Stephen Atkins and The Art of the Crosspoints Acting System
NY Weekly is a publication that highlights industry innovations and emerging trends across various fields, including arts, entertainment, business, and culture.
In this article Stephen Atkins’ Crosspoints Acting System integrates archetypes, improvisational exploration, and instinct-driven performance techniques to enhance the actor's process for contemporary work. As an "invisible second half" of many acting techniques, this deep structure is text-based and operates as an unseen logic—an inner contour that both arises from and governs its outer form.
With his upcoming book and acting deck launching in 2025, Atkins offers actors a transformative toolkit to enhance their craft across stage, film, and transmedia performance.
